Ring end gap ??

I baught a new rebuild kit for my lt250r cylinder and was checking my ring end gap and according to my bore my ring end gap is .003 to big
I want to know if this is acceptable ?
if anyone has any info on if this will be allright or if i should have a tighter tolerance please lemme know
