Yah your splines are wearing, i wouldnt worry about it though till it really starts getting sloppy, but u should have plenty of warning, you'll know when the play starts getting to the point when it needs fixed, then u will have to replace the sprocket hub and the axle, no way around it, but i'd run it and not worry about it until it really starts getting bad.

I agree! Order the sprocket hub and see how it feels on the axle. Then decide if new axle needed! Hopefully the hub will reduce it's play bigtime!

Yep, the only true fix is a new axle and sprocket hub.

Mine has been sloppy on my T-4 for awhile. I have the sprocket hub but haven't ponied up the coin for an axle yet.

One thing that helps a bunch (its intended as a bandaid) is pack the splines with axle grease. Slide the hub off the splines, grease it and slip it back on. You have to redo it every few rides but it does reduce the slop a lot.

Thanks alot for troubleshooting this guys.
Today I loosened up the axle nuts and seen that there is wear on the splines. I poured red locktite on everything and seriously tightened those nuts down. It doesn't move as of now. Looks like it could be a good excuse to get an aftermarket axle down the road huh?
Muwhohahahaaaaa

its play in the splines, not really a big deal, at least I wouldn't worry about it, but if you must replace it, you need to redo the whole axle
