Default E2S Is Moving
It's official E2S is moving to a new server. At the same time we will be upgrading to the newest version of Vbulletin 3.7. The new software brings many changes including MySpace like user profile pages and your own personal blog. There are so many changes in this new version it is hard to explain them all so you will just have to learn them as you go.

This Friday 5/9/08 around 6pm the server will be taken down for an unknown amount of time. Yes I hope to have it up as fast as possible but there is a lot of work to be done to get the site back up and running.

The bad, E2S will never look like this again after the move. The new version of the software is not compatible with the current E2S look. So when the site comes back don't be shocked that it is very plain and boring looking that will only be temporary. I have a template designer working on a new look for E2S so hopefully by end of month we will have the new site look up and running.

I would expect the site to be back up late friday night. If for some reason you think the site is up but you are not getting to the site try the following.

Go to Start | Programs | Accessories
Click Command Prompt (Vista users right click "Run as Administrator")
type ipconfig /flushdns

then type ping www.everything2stroke.com
it should show you an ip address of 67.19.164.162 not 70.84.21.212

I have set aside most of my weekend to getting everything back up and running on the new server. So please be patient I will try my best to have everything back up and running as fast as possible but somethings are out of my control.

Don't be scared....Jason should be commended. This is a good thing...for everyone.
But just like anything that is 100% brand new, there are a few bumps that have to be overcome.

As users, it would be very helpful if you can PM anyone of the Mod Staff with any questions and concerns you may have. We will make it our best effort to filter and help Banshee and our users. It makes sense for Jason to answer one question once, not the same question over and over from 100 users...

So...fellow members, please utilize the Mod Staff through this transition...we will filter questions to the site admins and help from there.
