| Hmm, interesting for sure. If you don't have to transfer air/gas from the crank area, you could lube the crank with gear oil a-la 4-stroke therefore no need to mix gas. This alone would go along ways towards pleasing the global warming/emmmision control panty waists.

| hmmmmmmmm.... Seems like in theory it would work, but in theory communism was a good thing too.........

| it seems like a super brilliant plan, it would take percise timing to time that valve that lets in air\let out exhaust.

| seems like a good idea for the average mechanist, but we need some real gear heads to chime in

| i duno bout that...... doesnt seam like that system would very "effectivly", push the burnt air out of the chamber and pump in new stuff...... i would think the best thing would be to have the fresh air come in on one side, and the bad stuff leave on the opposite..... one more trap door to add, but more fresh air, much more efficient...... you gota think of it this way.... "if it was that efficient, and actualy worked.... wouldnt we be seeing a real one, rather then theoretical one?"........ i dont think the "BURNT AIR WOULD MAGICALY FLY OUT OF THE CYLINDER LIKE IN THE DEMONSTRATION"...... theoreticaly, the burnt air would probably mix with the clean air 50/50".......giving you 50 percent less power..... cool little demo though.... i have heard a time or two, that people have taken a 5 hp briggs and stratton engine, and some how turned it into a two stroker. supposedly they run like a rapped ape! but iv never seen it with my own eyes.... its almost like an urban legend round me and my buddy's... |
