Question Who can tell what motor this is?

I bought a blaster with this motor yesterday and cant tell what it is. I am thinking a motor out of a 250 2 stroke dirt bike from the late 70's. It has a drive for a tach and its 246cc. I believe the cylinder says 1M100, that is all the numbers i can find so far, just got it an hour ago from a hippy that couldn't figure out how to spell quad on the bill of sale here is the pics.

Any ideas? Should there be numbers on it some where? The rod moves up/down 1/4 inch so i gotta get parts or find a new motor for cheap. Cover said its a five speed but i thought i counted 6.

i couldn't tell you what motor that is but it looks like it was swapped in the 90's , actually looks like a half decent swap. except for the pipe.

I'm thinking its a it250 or something. Wondering if its worth fixing the crank / rod or should i put a blaster motor or something else in it. I bought it thinking it was a blaster motor and just needing a top end and was hopping to make a little bit of money.

The 1m1 motor code matches a DT250.
There's no reason to put a DT250 in a Blaster other then the owner fouled up the stock motor and then had a DT250 sitting around.
Thats a good price on that, even if you yank the motor.

I have a 74 DT250, and that looks just like the motor thats in it, just looks a couple years newer than 74, if your gonna keep it I would hope that its a 75 at the oldest...when they switched from point ignition to CDI....the points are kind of a pain in the ass
