yz125 power valve not opening

ok here we go, i got a 2002 yz125 and the power valve does not open....it all started when i was riding and fell going around a corner, as i dumbed my bike it got stuck wide open throttle for about 3-5 seconds....after i picked it up i looked through everything revved it a couple times and though huh its good hopped on it and about 100ft down the track a horrible raddle noise came about from my top end or so i thought. I then ordered a new top end kit from wiseco (pro lite) and as im taking it apart i find out that my power valve governor lever that opens and closes it snapped and that was making all the noise....so i ordered a new lever put it in along with the top end...go to start it, all sounds good untill a made a horrible knocking noise like the piston was hitting the spark plug and then stalled. from that point on i that she was locked up for good, but she turned over again. so i started it again still made that knocking noise turned it off took off the plug to see if i see anything unusual and nothing....so i decide to kick the bike over with no plug in it...threw the plug back in and started it and it ran fine for about 5 seconds untill the knocking noise started up again...so i took off the exhaust pipe looked threw the port and not 1 freaken scuff piston was mint i could still see the hone marks one the nickle cell so i was really scratchin my head here......so then i took off the little case so i can see the power valve lever...threw the pipe on started it and revved it and the power valve lever didnt even budge so i decided to help it a little with a screw driver but nothing what could be the cause of that power valve not to move up??????

a broken washer or shim would cause it not to move or it could be just really gummed up take it apart and see if its carboned up

no i cleaned everything out with kerosene when i did the top end, including the powervalve....and yes i was at rockyhill and i remember seeing 2 guys on ktms one of them being you

well take it apart anyway and check for a broken washer or shim they can brake at any time thats wat happened to my old rm 250

probably the powervalve smacking the top of the piston

well i found out the problem...i took off the right side cover to see if anything was'nt connected and i was missing the pin there for that damn gear wasnt spinning for the power valve lever to go up and down and the knocking noise........this was just outa stupidity, when i put the cover together i forgot the pin and i guess it was knocking with the gears and all so when i opened it back up there was metal chips here and there but nothing major happened
