Default new member needs some help

Hey whats up guys my names nate im new here so hello to everyone but guys i seriously need help my bike had blown the whole top end i laid a sleeve got a new piston assembled the bike run great tons of compresion i meen she was a beast to kick and man did she purr well i got a little carried away one day ridin wheelies and yea ill igmit it i was seariously overrevin 1 threw 5 just holdin gears the bike didnt have much of a problem after i did that ran great but after bout 3 more rides she started choken on the top end of the gears i meen boggin but u let off and keep out of the power band she ran fine well my last day ridin she liked choke all the way barley got her home i meen it was bad that bike wouldt go 20 mph got her in the garage and she puked coolent out the overflow


i also have to add that before all that happend after i had spent a dumb ass day overrevin she had a knockin inside the cylinder head so i took off the whole top end thinking it was a crank shaft but it was fine piston seemed ok the rings im not very good at tellin if there good or bad but the cylinder had a bit of scarring nothin serious so i reassembled the bike and it ran fine with a knock but fine then all the other stuff happend any ideas plz help its starin to get warm here i wanna get off the quad thanx so much o yea its a 1996 cr250r

Ok, now breathe.LOL.

The sysmtoms you describe, what I could get out of it, sounds like you're sucking some air around the base or intake, could be the crank seal. You might also pull the carb and inspect it for some gunk or other.

Generally, when you need the choke to keep the bike running when hot, you've got a vac leak.

i dont need to choke to keep it runnin and i dont think the seal would cause all that clatter would it

Musta misunderstood you where you said "she liked choke all the way barley got her home".

Well, to be honest, you have two issues that need to be dealt with. 1st is the scarred cylinder. You should have it repaired or replaced. The second is the knocking. No engine knocks and is "ok", period. Fix those and you may find your problem goes away.
