How about a KX 125?

I was looking at a 1998 CR 250 to do some amature racing on, but I just stumbled across a 1994 KX125 for $500. I'd think it would still have plenty of power to compete in it's class. What do you guys think?

a 94 is definitely outdated. . . but that is a good deal, and a fun toy you can always play with. . . and since you said "amateur" it's not like yer looking for the latest and greatest and a $500 buy leaves you money to keep your toy collection going. . .

um, i dunno. . . but i would buy the 125. . .
