alright we got the thing to run perfect we replaced the bad gas and the spark plug.....the thing started up 2nd kick....the thing whiped for about 10min nothing wrong with it or anything....then it would backfire and shit the deck.....then we would have to wait 2min then it would fire up and good to go then it would just do it over and over....so then we just thought it was the carb and the reeds....so we cleaned everything nicey nice started up and it did the same thing so this time we just let it idle and it shuts off like someone it the kill switch so we started it back up and when it turned off i hit the gas and it just bogged down...so now im thinking its gotta be the eletrical so we take off the left side cover the stator seems to be in clean codition and im thinking its the coil or the t.o.r.s. but i doubt its the t.o.r.s.

im not an expert on the tors deal but id take that off, and if that doesnt solve your problem it might be your ignition coil on your stator, when it gets hot it cuts it off like you hit the kill swich. it happened on my snowmobile once. replaced it and it went away.

theres 2 cioils on the stator, 1 is the dinky lighting coil, and the other is for ignition and all the other shit in the electrical system, or just for ignition not sure, but yea, that coil runs to the actual spark coil that the plug connects 2. If its old, damaged, or dirty, itll cause some problems. I dunno how u test to see if its bad though. HAs it been jetted for any modifications? I remember before I jetted mine for my pipe and air box setup it would bog real bad and shut off if not throttled right. If you have a truck or another quad, tie the blaster behind the other and get goin then drop her in gear and if she refuses to start but sounds like she wants to, pull er around for a lil and try and clear out the cylinder and crankcase. But before all that id def take that top end apart and check things out.

Still sounds like fuel obstruction. Just for the hell of it, drop the bowl and turn the fuel on to see how it's flowing.

You need the manual to go through the electrical system. It gives you all the recomended resistance ranges (ie. "ohm readings") for the ignition system. It takes about 10-20 minutes to check the entire electrical system on the blaster. The manual does a good job of telling you what color wires need to be checked against each other. Be careful though, because some of the "ranges" are different. (i.e. you need to turn the dial on your ohm meter.

Then you've likely narrowed it down to either the primary coil (on the stator) or the pick-up coil.

Lean conditions can cause back-firing, pre-detonantion, kick-backs, ect. But you've elliminated that as a problem.
