Default Pro-Circuit platinum pipes

My old pipes are rusty and brown up front from a couple of years of neglect. They sound great and perform well. The thing is, I bought this bike used and now I want to make it look better. Is there a tried and true way to bring the shine back, or will I need new pipes?

You can do a couple of things to make them look better.
1. Get them Re-chromed

2. Take some WD-40 and steel wool and sit there for hours on end scrubbing and polishing them.

3. You can get them Jet hot coated

4. You can sand blast them and spray paint them with High temperature paint.

Thanks....if I was to paint them should I do the silencers too? Who does rechroming? How much does it cost? What would be the most durable for trail riding in New York?

procircuits never did use chrome they used nickle plate and its yellowish and cheap ,not sure if that would need stripped first but i imagine it would and most shops wont dip the used pipes i ntheir $ chrome dip tanks cause of foreign debris and crude inside .youd be better off painting them IMO
