What Pipes?? For Midrange/Top End?

OK, I think I'm ready for my first performance mod. From what I hear, Pipes are the best single mod you can do to increase performance.

The only question is which ones....?

Right now my Banshee is Completely STOCK!! I do mostly Desert/Trail riding with some occasional Dunes/hill climbs (but not neccesarily drags). Even on trails I like "sliding" around the corners so I keep the RPM's in the mid to upper range... Then almost WFO whenever possible.

So far the "best" recommendation I've gotten is a set of Toomey's... And I like the air filter/jet kit that comes with it, 'cause I know next to NOTHING about jetting anyway. (I'm thinking the 2 into 1 Uni filter kit that comes with it)

Any other Pipe, I'll want to upgrade the air filter anyway, and them I'll have to be told what Jets I'm gonna need. (CPI's, Trinity IV's, Whatever)

I may add a Dyna Ignition and tires, but that's gonna be it at this point! Oh and I have STOCK porting as well....

I'l need something forestry and sound legal as I'll be hitting the OHVRA's regularly and wanna keep the cops off my @$$!

t5 for a mild she/ rockets for a wild she

i wouldnt get t6 toomeys (,not that theyre bad by any means) its just
that theres gonna come a time when youll become bored of the power and youll say "fu&k it,im sending these cylinders out to get drag ported " or " i better get one of these cubs everybodys raveing about"
basically if you want to build a screamer down the road your gonna be fuct with t6's
for topend horsepower,if it were me ,id start with rockets right off the bat even though they wont be at there true power potential ,cause pipes arent cheap and youll need to know exactly what your future plans are when shelling out 6 bills a pop!!!!think ahead then buy!!!

T5's are nice and are probably the best top end pipes for a basically stock quad. They sound awesome too, but most any piped Banshee has an awesome sound all its own. To meet the sound levels you'd need the stupid looking Hush silencer, though.

Went with Toomey T-5's Thank for the info guys!! Calif sound standards may be a little higher than other places... Oregon 93dbA... Calif is 98dbA... or 101dbA for "competition OHVs". I just might make it! :P If not, I have a couple ideas to get it a few decibels quieter without a hush kit. Can't wait to get em bolted up an screamin'!!!!

you won't be disappointed with the T5's. i had a set and they are just a great pipe, which, I personally think has the best sound.
if you decide to port your cylinders, don't listen to anybody but the mechanic about which pipe to run. they usually have a favorite and port to its spec's.

t5's are great for an all around banshee... but then again my inframe drag pipes are gonna work for an all around quad.. i'm gonan make sure of that haha.. i like quads that come on light a light switch... fuck smooth powerbands......

Go with some CPI's if you plan to be out on the dunes. PT mids for trail riding...

dynoports, rockets, CPI's, shearers, or power pros will be great in the dunes..
