shearer vs cpi

FTZ might not make an inframe, but they sell one. It's a shearer inframe with an FTZ stamp on it.

The reason shearer or CPI aren't gonna help with setups is they're not engine builders. They make pipes, and jetting is gonna vary so much depending on so many things like carbs, elevation, temp, your mix ratio, etc. They'd also have some liability if they recommended anything for their pipes, which isn't in their interest. FTZ is a builder that has dealt with all of the variables having to do with setups, because they build for people all over the country for all types of applications. On top of it, it's in their interest to help you, because service is their game and how they make money.

Seriously, I didnt know that. HHHHHAAAAA, they should just bend over while they are at it. Thats so funny. I mean its smart because I dont think they could build a better pipe, but thats got to hurt Jon's pride some.

so far only cpi and shearer have emailed me. i did send emails out to ftz and powerpros as well and they have yet to get back to me.

i totally agree ,i called shearer pipes a couple times and il lbe damned if the owner Matt shearer always picks up the phone and i had a very lengthy informaive phone conversation with him . it sucks they were swamped and didnt get back to you dier ,thats a shame cause his pipe would have surely been an improvment over the ftz one IMO . theres some dynos of people who have seen gains by switching to the shearer pipe over the ftz on planet sand ,theyre a busy company ,especially nowadays matt is totally swamped cause theyre pipes are the hot setup for making awesome power on the cheetah cub engines

ok well i sent shearer an email telling them its a go. and i gave them my engine info and style as they requested. i'm guessing it wont be after the holidays until i have the money though. but by the sounds of it i should be very happy with this pipe.

i've talk with matt shearer $385.00, andy at ftz racing $280.00,grand river racing $300.00 and allen at ct racing $350.00. trying to find a custom pipe for a cr 500. as i read the forum no one mention grand river racing. any thoughts about them?
