Question Reed problems on the R

Well, my friend took my advice and checked his reeds. he said they were completely jacked. half the reed is gone on one side, and he said it looks scorched. Any one know what would cause a burn? i've never heard of that before so figured you guys would know. his step dad thinks it's caused by an ignition problem, but like i said i've never heard of that. well lmk thanks. (this is the same 250r from some of my earlier posts)

Well It's Probably not burnt just discolerd from use the fiberglass reeds have a tendacy to discolor form the Fule and oil....A broken reed is just that a broken reed ....I change reeds once a year on the nonrace Quads that is if I don't have a problem first. On the race Quads I go through about 5-10 sets per year on each one...
