| ...i was just offerd a 1986 250r with maier racing plastics, nerf bars, aftermarket carb,reeds, 288 kit, and lrd adjustable pipe and some other small things like itp or douglas rims forget which ones...

| i don't like the 250 4 strokes. just for the fact that they are ticking time bombs. they are so high strung to get the maximum power out of it that if it blows you might as well sell it as scrap metal

| well im getting that kx250 tonight cause the guy with the 250r said hed call me back in a couple days...i need something to ride this weekend...then when the kid with the 250r calls me ill see if hes up to trading for that kx...that is if i dont kill myself or fall in love with it...

| I whole heartedly agree and unfortuantly thats the norm anymore even for new high tech 450 atvs as well .seems the concept of proven classic four stroke reliability is losing its footing in the market and the owners are desensitzed into inevitable repairing these things way too early at a very high expense the old "gas it up and go" typical 4 valve over head cam four poke motor is history
