| okay, this might be the wrong place to post this question, but I'll give it a go. I recently purchased an old honda scooter\moped thingy, it's an old PX-R 50. I got it because I want to use it to get from and to work during the winter. but the thing won't start. it gets gas, the top-end and the cylinder is fresh, all the gaskets are new, compression is awsome for a 2-stroke 50cc, but the spark is WEAK!! if I unscrew the plug-cap and kick it, it will spark from the lead to metal without any problems, but with the cap on and a plug attached the spark gets so weak you can barely see it, what could be the cause of this?? anyone?

| I've replaced the plug and confirmed that the coil and plug cap\lead works. I took it off the bike and installed it on my pitbike and it fired on the first kick, I'm thinking a corroded stator, anyone got any good ideas?

| your pit bike might not take as much of a spark to run.. it still may be the coil...

| the coils look identical, and the scooter is a 50cc 2-stroke and the pitbike a 110cc 4stroke
