How much Gear oil do I add for oil change?

I am new to this forum and to my quad, I have a 1989 Honda 250R and I am doing my first gear oil change. Any input would help, Thanks in advance.

The 250R motor takes .63 U.S. quarts, a little more then half a quart. There also is a plug on the right side(clutch side) of the motor that you can take out and when you get to the correct level you know because oil will start to drip out of it. when it does you just put the plug back in. If you have any more questions about your 250R just let me know and ill try and help .

it should have a phillips head on around the clutch cover somewhere ( just below on my 85R but im sure they changed in 88 )
