Enigne Mods For Nitrous??

I Have an 87 R that is bone stock with the exception of a UNI Foam Filter. I am going to be ordering a pipe for it this week (TRX5 Centermount). I do a lot a even amount of desert riding and duning. I would like to have it set up more for dunes. I want to be able to hit the Sand Drags or do some Hill Shooting with the same bike i will be duning and jumping with. Because of this i was thinking Nitrous would be good for the hills and drags. then i can run off the Nitrous the rest of the time. Any Ideas for a good setup? i was checking out the ESR website and was thinking of sticking with one of their 310 or 330 kits. with the TRX5 pipe. anyides for a port job? Carb? Nitrous Kit? come on guys i know someone has done this before.

I am about to put nos on the 310 r I have a coldfusion nitrous system on banshee, you really dont need anything to go with the nos system the only thing I would recomend is a forged piston, but you can run it with your stock piston. Check out coldfusionnitrous.com they have everything you need for a hell of alot cheaper than boondockers.

come on people why do yall wanna use nitrous. if you cant go full throttle with no bottle. then its no fun.

What kind of Pipe are you running on the 310. How big a Shot are you going to run? any idea what the horse power numbers are going to look like on and off the bottle???

And Nitrous is a great thing i think. It gives you GREAT top end power for drags and when you are just duning around you can keep the driveablity you wouldnt have if you had a drag port and pipe. Besides the only people that complain about nitrous are the ones that Lose to people running it.

im not complaining. and the only way the win is because they are running nitrous. anyway its just my personal opion.

Not Flaming you or anything. but if you are against MODIFYING (sp.?) your engine with nitrous to get more Oxygen into the motor, then shouldnt you be against aftermarket intakes and filters that do the same? Just my side of it. if someone is For modifying engines, they shouldnt draw the line anywhere. thats why racing has a N/A class.

very good point. i'm not aginest nitrous its just expensive. maby ill try it out sometime.

my big bore is a resleaved kit and I am using a fmf fatty right know but we just bought a fiz drag pipe to put on it I have no idea what kind of horse power I have but I will dyno it asap. I usally stick with a ten shot but if a cocky person beats me I go as high as it takes but it is very risky. AND I WIN PLENTY OF RACES WITHOUT THE BOTTLE! FOR THEY MONEY NITROUS WILL GAIN YOU MORE HORSEPOWER THAN ANY THING ELSE YOU CAN DO. I DONT KNOW WHY ANYONE WOULD HATE NITROUS UNLESS THEY HAVE EATIN TOO MUCH SAND BEING BEHIND A NOS QUAD
