Default 86-87 swing arm to 88-89????

I am looking to use a 250r chassis for a hybrid atv, does anyone know if an 86 or 87 swing arm will mount up to an 88 frame. In other words, besides the welded rear motor mounts on the 88-89 frame is there a difference in swing arm mounting width between an (86-87) and an (88-89) frame?? Thanks

Default

The swingarms are the same width. The '86-'87 swingarms have a cutot section ofr the rear motor mount bracket. Your best bet is to sell the '86 swingarm and get an '88-'89 swingarm. If you do not get an '88-'89 swingarm you will need to make a spacer to fill the gap from the missing rear motor mount.
