Default 1986 atc 250r full rebuild

I have finally started to rebuild my atc 250r .

I finished putting all the bottom end stuff together and I ran into a problem,

when I spin the motor I hear the kickstarter engaging gear clicking alot. Also when I try to use the kick start it is super tight and will not come back to the proper place.

I followed the book to the "T" and I cant figure it out.

Gonna tear it down again tommorow.

Hey, Thank you very much got it done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now its time to find a nice piston/wristpin/rings combo, coil and a good carb.

I have the cyl and head.

the guy I bought the motor from had a bad crank and replaced it with a hot rods ck 103 whatever that means. and never rebuilt it.

Well its rebuilt now!!!

In the parts buckets I found a banshee shift drum anyone know what thats for(besides a banshee lol , it doesnt fit in the bearing race and I heard it was used as an upgrade?)
