295 re-sleeve kit or just porting

i was looking into getting a big bore re-sleeve kit for my 250r but it was kinda expensive.

$100 for new sleeve
$125 for new piston
$100 for old sleeve removal and new sleeve installation
$250 or $125 depending on full port job or just port matching

about $500-700

i was wondering if the 295 kit really helps that much. i am looking for a hp boost because i ride in the dunes with my cousin and uncle that both have piped banshees. would i be all right with just a port job. oh and right now my 250r is stock except for a FMF SST pipe and power core II silencer and the airbox lid is off.

I am looking into the same setup. I was initially just going to port it and I figured what the hell. I am curious as to how much of a difference it is going to make also. I haven't decided on the 295 or 310 kit though.

Dont waste the money, either just port the stock jug or find a 310 Pro-X cylinder.
