questions about 250r porting?

when i first started racing , my friend got his done 18 years ago by ct i smoked it with a local port. that when the question in my head started now i love to see the big name bike at the line

so is getting good porting from some big name company all depend on whether or not you "got connections"? so i guess it is probably more than likely that you would never get a jug ported like one for some big name racer. what about some of the "smaller" shops that do porting and engine building? over on bansheehq, alot of people talk about F.A.S.T racing and their work, and say nothing but good things about em.

I know Jeff at FAST, he is like 40 miles from me. I dont have a problem with him. His motors run good but I know a few people who have some complaints about his order placement vs finishing order. I have never had a complaint about the guy though. You will get quality work, may just wait on it and pay for it.

I was just listing him as an example since he was the first guy that came to my head when I posted that. I've never dealt with him in any way, but Im just saying what I've read that alot of people say he does good quality work and has built some damn nice bikes. in fact , when i was still reading around on here about porting, I got on banshee hq and asked him about doing some porting and he told me that it would be late fall or early winter before he could take any more work. so yea I guess your probably right about that.

im backed up for about two weeks but as much that has come through the doors of locals and we have the big jamboree in october 1 it will be nuts I had 13 sets of banshees show up from ebay and other web sites last year in about 3 weeks before chrismas . tis the seson. i will bump it a head if $ 50 is added on to my prices on my page for rush delivery. i just left the shop and going back at 7:00am.
next week is the mower demo. it should be fun but i have to stay late to take off that saturday. this is when i play with my web not much time to kick back. but it is tough to get to the top
