Default exhaust polishing

How much would I benifit, if any, from polishing the exhaust port on the cylinder. It's bored .20 over and has fmf pipe and silencer.

The reason I ask is that it's time to freshen up the top end. I was asking a friend about porting and going without the bottom gasket and he said just to polish the exhaust??????????????????

the theroy behind a polished exhaust port is that the carbon won't stick.... actaully you don't need to polish it but rather just hit it with some 200grit sand paper... same effect... a shit load less work....

yeah it will help performance.not aq big gain though...send it to fiveonick or evilltwin for porting.their prices are very reasonable with a quick turnaround time and great work.you'll notice a huge gain then...
