here's a dumb question....

alright so in the future, i do plan on boring out my 250r, but here is the dumb question. what else do i need to do? do i need new jets? bigger? i kinda know cars, but not much on the small engine side...sadly....

also, how big can i go without having to use race gas? that would be something i would like to avoid for now...

i do not believe you need bigger jets,, just bore her out and get the proper size piston and rings.. pop it back in and your all set
wen you bore your it not like your geting that much bigger unless you go with a bigbore kit.. you can hardly tell the differnt in piston size cause its such a petty size differnce

has it ever been rebuilt or bored... depending on how bad it is you may not even need to bore but you coudl go with at .20 or .40 bore.... mines .40 over and i can still run 89octane

well i bought it and was told it was stock bore.....i dont know for sure....it doesnt need it know i dont think...but someday it will...as do all 2 strokes....but what about like 265 or 270, do you need race gas for that?

ooo boy, i couldnt tell you exactly,, honestly i dont know much about it becaise im a banshee owner.. but if your just boring it to get the cylinder walls cleaned up, you dont bore that much so.... i think you start runing differnt gas when you raise yoru compression and such... you shoudl be fine no matter how much you bore it... im sure the guys will tell you for sure later tonite when they get on

also, this guy is selling carbon fiber reeds with cage, he said they will fit 85 to 89 ATC OR ATV, is that true?

i thought the big bores for 250r was 310 and 330

they have bores from 265 up....not sure what constitutes BIG but they have all differnt ones....i think they are big bore because you have to get a different sleeve
