Default ESR airfilter kit??

Does anyone here run ESR's airfilter kit/setup? it looks kinda like a k&n filter and the kit eliminates the airbox. I was thinking about getting it and using one of those outerwears filter covers.

I mostly ride trails, and I try my best to stay out the mud and sloppy stuff, but sometimes my bike gets alittle muddy. would I have any problems with mud and/or water if I was running this airfilter kit with no airbox?

Hey, its hard to stretch the stock boot but it will work. I would just run the stock intake and pick up one of the aluminum brackets on ebay to run the stock stuff without the airbox. I have heard the stock setup makes more hp, it acts more like a velocity stack than the ESR setup. In one case Dave Moore showed like a 5hp gain from extending the intake 5 inches longer than the ESR setup on a 310. Anyway, just my recommendation. Its what I am doing, even with my centermount pipe.
