Default Sprocet Combo???

I am getting ready to hit the dunes and was wondering what the best sprocket combo would be to use on my R.I have a 15F 38R right now and it hauls but that was with 18" tires. My paddles are 22" I also have a 12F that I am currently not using. My goal is to get as much top end speed as I can without affecting the low end too much. The set up I have now is one I like but input would be nice.

My R:K&N Filter, Paul Turner High-rev with FatBoy2,boyesen reeds,38mm keihn jetted two sizes above stock, 22" 8 count paddles...I'm not sure if the head has mods or not,I don't think it does (I'm no mechanic I just ride)

well, I dont know if gearing for sand is any different than gearing for dirt, but I run a 12t front and 36t rear with 20'' inch holeshot tires. I think a 15t front would be a little tall for 22'' tires, enless your bike has the balls to pull it. the 12t would work alot better with the taller tires, and maybe go a little smaller in the rear, like a 37 or 36t.

my bike has pretty good top speed for drag racing as well as good low end for tight trails.

well, its hard to say cause alot depends on how their bikes are setup and geared also. when I first got my R, it was mostly stock and had 12/38 gearing, and my top speed sucked, and I just went through the gears way to fast. I was getting eatin alive by banshees and it was very tough to even out run a 400ex for that matter on a 300ft drag.

but I've built up my motor some now, got it ported, a pipe and bigger carb, and changed my gearing to 12/36 and now it hauls ass. its geared alittle higher than before and I have awesome starts cause of the extra power from the motor and good lowend with the small front sprocket, and a faster top speed with the small rear sprocket.

but I have yet to actually drag anybody yet cause I've only had it back toggether running for a few days.
