Default Quick help needed!!!!

Hey guys, I'm in the middle of replacing the crank seals on my 86 TRX250R, and I had a quick question. On the right side of the engine (clutch side), where the crank seal rides on the collar, why is there no o-ring between the collar and the crankshaft bearing? It seems to me that this wouldn't be sealed up at all? I looked at the parts fiche and it doesn't show anything should be there to make that seal. Is this true or am I missing something?
