Default difference in plastic/model years?

does anyone know what the difference is in the front and rear fenders for the different model years of the 250r? I have an 86 and I was plannng on buying some brand new maier red front and rear fenders. but I was wondering if you could use different model year plastics, like if they would bolt up correctly or not. I know the main difference is the 88 and 89 have the head light in the hood, but that doesnt matter for me cause I dont have a head light and I have a maier scooped racing hood to use. but like is there any little differences in the shape/design of the front or rear fenders?

the only real differences are obviously the hood and the pattern of the holes in the rear section for mounting the seat to the fenders. and even then that was nothing major. there was also the "shark nose" on the earlier models to direct the air to the radiator better, but most people took that off anyway. other than that they are exactly the same.

ok thanks man. yea mine had that little shark nose piece on it too when I got it, but I took it off cause it didnt look right when I cut my front fenders off. and I was looking at my clymers manual and it showed a diagram of the fenders for the 86-87 and 88-89. and to me it looked like on the early style fenders they were kinda angled back more at the tips and on the later models they were more squared. but it might be the other way around, idk.
