| the only real differences are obviously the hood and the pattern of the holes in the rear section for mounting the seat to the fenders. and even then that was nothing major. there was also the "shark nose" on the earlier models to direct the air to the radiator better, but most people took that off anyway. other than that they are exactly the same.

| ok thanks man. yea mine had that little shark nose piece on it too when I got it, but I took it off cause it didnt look right when I cut my front fenders off. and I was looking at my clymers manual and it showed a diagram of the fenders for the 86-87 and 88-89. and to me it looked like on the early style fenders they were kinda angled back more at the tips and on the later models they were more squared. but it might be the other way around, idk. |
