Default Clutch cable help? Please!!

FU*K!!!!!!!! Just changed the jetting on my R and rode it around the block and the Fauking clutch cable broke. I was going to ride it tomorrow with a bunch of people. Will any other cable work? The guys here where I buy parts don't have a 250r one in stock but have other ones. Thanks for the help.

Go to lowes, into the aisle where they sell chain and rope and look for the little aluimnuim crimp rings that they use for cable. They sell all the way down to 1/16, but you'll probably want to get the 1/8 or the 1/4 to replacate the end of a cable.
Crimp that baby on there, dremel to shape if need be and hope it stays.
I've done this with throttle cables, in fact... thats the way mine is now. Clutch cables are under more stress than throttle cables, so I'm not sure if it will hold... but it's the only thing I can think of to tell you so you can go riding tomorrow, good luck.

Talking

Went to Home Depot and bought nine feet of 1/18th cable and took the old cable out of the housing and cut three feet to match and put it in the housing. I had to rig up some very temporary clamps at each end but it should hold for tomorrow. If not that is why I bought 9 ft. I am takin the tools I used and spare clamps. I have already ordered a new cable so I can have it on by next weekend. Thanks for the help.
