KRRZ350, I am running 12/39 gearing, but I think it is too low, I am going to run 14/39 or 15/39 when I get put back together.

Is truing and balancing the same thing?
If not how do they balance the crank?

truing the crank is making it straight, balancing is adding or taking weight from the crank to match the piston and rod weight.

Default mounts on rubber?

If I can figure out how to post pictures I will.

Poly bushings would work well but rubber ?? better keep those mounts real tight or you ll be throwing chains left and right under load.

I put an old yz 400 motor in a suzuki lt 230 quad.

K thanks. The guy who rebuilt my crank said truing it would lessen the vibrations.

Ok, well for the most part it runs great, first and second hit hard but at the end of third it starts acting weird. In third it bogs and if i shift to fourth it revs on its own and revs all the way up when i pull the clutch in. Im guessing maybe the floats? because when i coast to a stop it idles fine then i can go again. Im gona call my dyno guy tomorow and see what he thinks.

I might need to invest in a bigger tank as it lasts about an hour, everything else works flawlessly. Oh and my motor mounts didnt break and i dont notice the vibes at all. Maybe my mounts are special or somthing, or maybe my crank was ballenced in the past, or possibly most people are incredebly over exadurating the vibration.

The 400ex fuel petcock may not be large enough to support a 500 2-stroke..
