Well mine will be back together tomorrow. I tore it down and cleaned things up some, I wanted to get the engine anodized black or red but I couldn't find a place around here that would do it. So the jug is back to its natural aluminum now and the bottom end is still black. Also I got the shocks on it along with new plastics. here are a few pictures of it without the engine.

This question is for anyone who has had their crank balanced, ie. hilpp99 and PaulieB. I am about to send mine out and was wondering how satisfied you guys were with the results. I noticed that the guy who did Paulies drilled big holes through it. Does Crankworks do that too? And does the lower rotating mass affect the power output? I would think that it would help with vibration a bit. Thanks in advance for any input.

Um all the holes on my crank are factory lol.
Also I thought he balanced mine but apparently only re-built, trued, and gave me the 490 rod.
No biggie since it was only $179.
But no help to you sorry bro!

The old one was balanced, I think, because it vibed alot less than the new one, which is like a paint shaker. I actually had a crank seal go sideways, literaly sideways. Which as you can imagine made things quite smokey.

Im quite pleased with mine. It helped a ton on vibes but I can still feel it at an idle and wot. I didn't notice any diffrence in power though. I did have a cracked engine mount a few weeks ago but nothing major. I would recomend it. Crankworks did drill one decent size hole in the crank and I could see where they added weight in another spot.

So I just started a forum for atv's with engine swaps..... TRX500R.org/forums (for now, will have a link from trx500r.org very soon) Anyways, figured I'd post it up in here, I will be in touch with Falicon & Crankworks about getting some discounts for members as well. Anyways everyone is welcome, I'm sure it will be slow going for awhile, I'd also appreciate any feedbacks & suggestions (Don't worry, I'm a graphics design major turned auto repair shop owner, so it will look nice really soon)

Also, I'll be needing some mods to, and there's quite a few people in this thread that I wouldn't hesitate to add.
