All that I have seen are 'made'. I have a FTZ on mine that they made for the set up.

My bikes goin in friday for a custom pipe. Not just a modified one, it will start as sheet metal. I need a new silencer though.

Last weekend we got kicked out of the local riding spot for the first time. They said I needed a trail pass which I already knew. Anyways I can't get one because it wont even come close to meeting dB limits. Ive seen the fmf q seires and turbine core whatever, does anyone know which is the absolute quietest pipe that I could have put on. Any pipe even stock I just need a realy quiet one.

This thread has been quiet for to long guys. How are everyones bikes coming along? I went for a ride last weekend and had a blast. My 500 is running great, the only problem I have had is I keep breaking the bolt holding my silencer on. I need to mount it loose but just haven't spent the time to fab up a mount. Been thinking of a new project the last couple of days. I have a r frame sitting in the back yard and would like to put a shee powerplant in it. What do you guys think about that?

I wonder how many people would purchase counter-balanced 500 bottom ends if they were available? I have a friend I am trying to convince to give it a shot... Imagine a kit that came all necessary mounts, new cases with an integrated balancer shaft, a new clutch cover with an extended forward kicker, and a brand new custom pipe..... Think there would be a market?

That would be a very sweet setup for the CR500 engine. How much would a package like that cost?

I for one think the R-shee would be a great bike. As for your silencer, I have my whole pipe on rubber pipe mounts, seems to work fine.

Well… My bike is pretty much a lost cause. I’m fed up with it. Not for the vibration but because I just cant seem to get it running right. I bought a new carb and dropped everything off for a custom pipe. After waiting a month they finally called me back and told me they didn’t want to touch the thing. I asked if I can still have the new carb tuned on the dyno but they refused to do that with the current pipe. So I still have a bike that runs like balls.

So, what next? I’m thinking it may see a 350 twin before the summer. At least this time I will be a little more experienced, have a decent welder, and access to a lathe, mill, and cnc if I need it.

Anyone want a stock bore cr500 motor… fuck
