| I used to do a lot of TIG welding, mostly stainless steel, but also a lot of aluminum from working in fab shops. So I am quite familiar with it, I just need to get access to a TIG for modifying the pipe and or the case strengthening. The decompression valve might be a good route for me also. Do you by chance still have the 86 500 motor that you mentioned earlier ? |

| I might be looking for a nother CR 500 engine to stuff in a Banshee, if this TRX 500r project turns out successful. I almost think that the Banshee frame design would be better to put such a motor in than the TRX frame. Hell, maybe even a KX 500 engine, They put out more power stock than the CR. |

| I wouldn't get excited about dropping a cr/kx motor in a banshee just yet. to be honest I don't think I would do it again but I am still sorting things out. A built banshee is hard to beat for the money and power |

| I remember awhile ago a guy on bansheehq had a shee with a cr500 motor in it. I think it was locogato. not sure if he still has it, but it was a pretty nice machine. watched a video of it racing another banshee and it would pull the banshee pretty hard untill toward the end where the two stroke twin had the better top end speed and passed him. and rsss396, man all I got to say is you got a nice ass trx500. very nice job. it looks like a whole lot of custom work as well, way more than I was expecting. and that pipe you got looks pretty good aswell. I dont know if you've ever thought about it, but how do you think a esr trx 11 pipe wood work with your motor? Im sure it would be pretty easy to bolt up, all you would need to do is cut and weld the cr500 spigot onto the trx11 head pipe and it should fit the rest pretty easy I guess.

| That's true, but to build up a Banshee motor you better have deep pockets. I think I'm going to have in excess of $ 3,000.00 in just my motor alone. I love the sound of the Yamaha twins also. As for building another TRX 500, it depends on how this one turns out and the reliability of it. Usually the first time around and working the bugs out is the worst. Then you'll know how to do it right the first time on the next one. I put a vortec truck 350 in my 2001 AWD Astro Van. Let me tell you first hand, it was a chore, but I would probabaly do it again. |

| Those TRX 11's kinda look GAY. They look way out of proportion. Just my .02 http://www.atvsource.com/articles/pr...mac_racing.htm Last edited by RZBansheeMan; 08-03-2007 at 05:11 PM. |

| yea they are pretty phat. but I think they look bad ass on a drag racing 250r. maybe not so good on a play or dune bike or whatever. I really like that black pipe of rsss369's bike. it fits the overall look pretty nice
