Default 450r shocks?

I was wondering if anyone has put 450r shocks on their 250r? How does it work? I tried to find a thread on it but the search tab isn't working for me. Thanks in advance.

Hey there hilpp99, it appears that rsss396 has some on his TRX 500 in his pics if you look close enough. We have some for the one I'm building for my buddy also but haven't gotten that far yet.

By the way, how is your quad coming ?

Cool, let me know how they work. I can get a set pretty cheap but thought i would check to see if they would fit. I haven't had much of a chance to work on the r this week. I am going to build a gusset for the rear motor mount hopefully in the next few days. Other than that I just need to find some miscellaneous parts and put it back together.

there alot stiffer so if you wiegh alot then thehy should be good, but they also make the quad sit higher which will give you more clearence but make it easier to roll

im around 230, so mabey they will work out for me. Do you think some long travel arms would make it sit close to normal height?

what are your a arms now ?
if they are stock you might be able to put the shock mounts on the lower a arm out a little bit on each side to lower the ride height closer to stock.

I am by no means a suspension expert, but I would be willing to bet, that with your weight and the extra leverage of those +3's would probably work alright.

ya thats right if u get new arms it works good, and rzbansheeman relocating the shock mounts can really weaken them

Well shit, I am going to do the yfz 450 a arm and shock conversion on my banshee, the only thing I don't like is that the front ride height is a lil' lower. I was thinking about moving the lower shock mounts in just a bit to regain the ride height, but if it's gonna weaken them, I'll have to come up with another game plan. Thanks for the info.
