Default jet question... higher or lower?

on the jets with the #'s. Is the higher the # the more rich it will be??? or is it the opposite?

Also.... if my quad is sputtering on top end.... that is rich right???

higher number is bigger, yes
and sputtering on top end could be many things, other than being rich, how do your plugs look?

if your plug is dark and/or wet then you are probably too rich

yes...... i am running very rich. the plug is jet black and very wet. I'm gonna tweak with it WHENEVER i have time. HAHA. I work so damn much and have to make time for everything. So basically I should lower the number of the main jet to make it leaner, right?

get it warmed up and then run that bitch wide open in top gear then hit the kill switch and pull the clutch, pull the plug out immediately, you want a nice chocolate brown color on the porcelain insulator. if it is black your too rich and if it is white or real light then you are too lean.
