Default places i can ride with no airbox

i this got rid of my airbox on my 250r and it has a k&N airfilter with outerwears so what places can i ride with no problems

places i think i can ride at
:dirt
:sand
:grass

things i cant ride at
:snow
:mud

and can i wash my bike with no airbox and this the airfilter with outerwears on it

get a ziploc freezer bag and a rubber band and put em around the filter before you wash it. Thats what i do

wherever there is dirt, there is ususally mud in places, , or "Wet dirt" you could say, clog the filter very easy, why not just run a topless box?

Yeah, an open box is a better way to go. The only time I would go without is in dunes. I just cut a hole in the top of mine and put a scoop over the top facing backwards.

will its not compelety cut off theres 25% left in the front so i can still use the back break resiaivor and the inlet for the airfilter and the hose that runs from the the airbox to the carb so its not compelety gone and i have that snorkel hole covered

does no air box really add that much more power...
i know you need to bump up the jets... but power wise?

You need bigger jets cause you are getting more air, the more air/fuel you can get into the motor, the more power it will make. The gain isn't huge, but it's noticeable.

That littele bit you have left sounds like it wouldn't help much keeping mud/water off your filter.

as long as you pull the front end up a bit through any puddles, or go slow through real deep rivers and stuff, you shoudlnt really get any water in there without a lid, but i couldnt imagine riding trails with no box at all youd have to bring a backpack full of spare filters with you
