| Quad over heated and took chunks from my piston.. Anyone know how to flush the bottom end?

| lay the motor on it side and take engine cleaner and spray in the botom end real well, take a water hose and flush the piss out of it. Then immediately dry with with a air hose then oil everything with fogging oil while rotating the crank. Or take the motor apart if it makes you feel better but I have done this more times than I care to remember with no issues. When I am away from home I have used brake, carb cleaners and straight alcohol to do the same but I feel they are a little harsher on the seals so I prefer the engine cleaner and water method. You just have to get things dry as fast as possiable and oiled back up. |

| flush it with gas and oil many many many times and it will be fine.i have done it alot also.Just spend the money for alot of gas and oil and do it till your blue in the face. |
