i would say dont start at the top, i normally start like 3-4 clicks above where it stops, and just kick it like 4-5 times one after another really fast and it'll start right up

i usaully just kick the mother, and it only recoils once in a blue moon, also you shouldnt use shoes, it kills my feet if i do

did you ever find a solution? I am in the same boat as you, my foot is so black and blue I wont even be able to start my 250r for a week just put in a new cdi and checked the harness no luck. I even bought thicker work boots but no luck..If anyone has a solution lemme know pls

Advance the timing slightly, worked on my zilla wich backicked alot until i advanced it.
