Default mix alky with gas?

alright guys, i was told that mixing your fuel 4 gallons of 110 leaded and 1 gallon of methanol is great. I run klotz super techniplate which blends with methanol or so it says so oil would not be a problem. In theory, it may make the motor run a little cooler, alcohol is cheaper than regular race fuel, and it may give me a little hp boost as well. Now, is this a good idea or not something to mess with? He also said that you would not have to purge the fuel system nor worry about corrosion/plastic erosion with this mixture.

opinions needed, thanks

It will effect your jetting to say the least. You will need to increase your jet sizes & probably needle. I have run alky in 4 strokes with good luck as a cheap form of fuel, bur never messed with it in 2 strokes. Your race fuel should be giving you the same benefits you mentioned, runs cooler & more power?
