How to title a ground up build?

Im building a 250r for my wife and i have most of the parts already other then the frame. I see on ebay you can buy a new or used frame but they dont come with titles. How do you go about getting ORV tags with out having a title?

in michigan its simple.. you just go to your local gas station bait shop or gun shop and pick one up.. not sure about washington

Many of the frames on ebay do have titles... ebay just wont let them advertise... Some selers will use terms like papers, pink, etc, so that their listing doesnt get pulled... the easiest way to know is to ask the seller... you might be surprised....

Call the closest state patrol vehicle inspection facility, and schedule an appointment to get the quad inspected. They will assign a vin# and give you legal ownership document, actual title takes three years. I don't know where you are in WA, but there is a place in Tacoma on 112th off Canyon Rd.

an orv sticker in michigan cost you 16.25 for a 1 year sticker.. all you need to do is take a state id to anyplace you can buy a hunting licence and buy 1 or as many as you need. yeah its that simple.. but i hear there gonna change it..
