stator problem?

Need help! I have and 86 250r 4 traxx, starts up fine, runs great but have problems with the lighting. Bike keeps popping light when you accelerate. At idle it's fine, voltage regulator has been replaced and still no fix. Voltage meter reads11, 18,32,22,21 volts when the throttle is applied. Don't know too much about bikes but I'm mechanically inclined. help me

i would check the wires around the voltage regulator, sounds like voltage isnt getting regulated.

ya did you take the airbox scoop thingy off that runs from the airbox to the front of the radiator? i did this and the same thing happened to me, maybe your is worn out...
