| Can any of the newer fourstrokes handle an MX track like a 250R? Cant decide which to get. Are the old two strokes getting their butts handed to them by the newer fourstrokes??? Help me decide. 250Rs have to handle better and are alot lighter but does that make up for the power of strokers? Lets hear your opinion even though its a 2stroke site. |

| either way the fastest guys are still gonna win... I would rather lose on a R than lose on a 450... |

| rider rider. but 4 strokes do have better traction. but the rider is what wins, not the bike.

| I dont ride mx, but i'd say the 450's are suited alot better for it. much easier to be competetive with also. you have to do a fairly good amount of mods, both motor and suspension, to get up to par with the new 450s. and as far as maintence goes, yea the 250 is probably better for the do-it-yourself-er kind of rider. easy to work on and also cheaper. but the 450s can still be reliable if the right steps are taken and good maintence is performed. as long as you dont go overboard with jacking up the compressing and bigger cams and big bore and stroker kits and all that, you can get a good amount of ride time and engine life from em

| On a MX track it's simple. 90% rider 10% bike. you will only be as fast as your ability lets you.

| well i ride on an mx track, i was there with my old 250r which the only mod it has was a bills pipe with a dg silencer, and i used to smoke then on the corners, i had it on video, i will try to find it and post it up, but it is 90 percent about the rider
