| It will have to have at least a cherry bomb for a close race at all with a good running R. With a good pipe, fuel tuner, intake, and rider the LTR runs pretty well. Friends was making around 50+rwhp with those mods. |

| All depends on how well your r runs. The 700 will probably lose in a short race with a 450. Sell that raptor, buy a 310 or 330 esr cylinder and mop the floor with all those 4 pokes lol.

| ive found that a stock jug/ported 250 will be a close race with a mostly stock 450, as 265r is close too, but once u go 310 and beyond its all the Rs....of course there is exceptions to every rule but this is what i have found over time. My 265 was dead even with a piped, filtered 06 yfz450...and the 310s and 330s would walk past any 450 so i learned my lesson and if your gonna do up a 250r, build a nice 310 pv or 330 pv and youll never look back or have any doubts

| i beat 450s wit my 89 250r all it has is a cr style piston k&n filter a pipe trackside that no one has heard of .170 comp advanced timing and beat 450s wit cam vavles port &polish piston full exhaust and correct jetting k&n filter and sure is fun to look back and see them in my dust |

| What kind of port work do you have. 170 compression is kinda low for a highly tuned r. I have a friend with a lt450, with all the fixin's, and it is a fast machine. He would pull my r everytime with my highly ported stock cylinder, and you see the mods in my sig. You must either be a good rider, or those are stock 450's.

| i put my own port job on it i dont like to high of comp bad on motor i run half&half wit castor 927 shes fast but my exshaust is crap it uses stock jetts for the years 86 to 89 i dont think im a good rider but i now how to run a fast machine and the 450s werent stock i know forsure |
