Hi everybody I was wondering if anybody has pics to show where the gussets go on a 1988 250r frame THANKS

I took these pics from another forum. I am getting ready to gusset my 88 also.

I actually did a frame up rebuild last summer on my R. I compiled a bunch of pics of gussets on R frames. If you post or PM me your email address I'd be happy to send them to you. The thing about gusseting is balance. You don't want too many, which will make your frame too rigid and more prone to breaking, and then you don't want too little, which will obviously make your frame too weak. I personally added my gussets above the front shock towers, across the back of the subframe, and then I boxed in the area where the swingarm pivot bolt goes through.

Here's my R frame, and where I added the gussets. Notice how I boxed in where the swingarm pivot bolt goes through, added the angled braces above the front shock towers, and added the bar across the subframe.
