Default base gasket problem

will i had recently rebiult my topend and im having base gasket issues

around the outside of the gasket on the edges were it comes out between the cylider and bottom there is always moisture of premix coming out on boths sides and at one time it would bubble out then i torqued it down to 28 pounds and stopped bubbleing

then i went riding in taft and i noticed gas and oil splattered all over the bottomend on the stator cover

it runs strong and has great compression and it loads up still with a br9eix spark plugs maybe i need a stronger spark so it can burn all the gas in the bottom this sitting there

or should i torque it down more right know its 28 pounds i think the farthest i can go is 35

and its a brand new oem gasket i have the green side facing up and the blue side facing down is it on wrong

Sounds like the gasket is on right, I pulled my cyl. and the gasket stuck to the case and the top was green. The recommended torque spec is 27 to 35 ft/lb. Try it at 35 and if it leaks it is time for a new gasket, if that is the case check the case and cyl. for dirt, scarring or the like. Hope this helps.

after it leaked once, it will most likely leak again, no matter how tight you go this next time. i always smear a little bit of "ultra gray" on both sides of my gaskets,
base and head, but just a little, dont want to clog the water jackets

and i use "ultra copper" on my exhaust... never a leak anywhere

How clean were the surfaces and are there any gouges or irregular surfaces, i use brake clean with a lintless cloth over and over again to get it clean. I also like the rubber wire wheels from snap on to remove all the gasket residue and polish the surfaces.

Use a straight edge to check for warpage, and if all that I mentioned has been done and cleaned to perfection, there is one more thing that I noticed.

Some base gaskets are not perfectly die cut to fit with the 2 dowel sleeves and it forces the gasket to have a high spot that will get pinched or folded.

I use a gasket hole punch to enlarge the holes about 1mm to allow the gasket to lay flat and expand alittle.

Yamabond or threebond is great stuff but it does not stay fresh for too long and is kind of pricey.

But if you need to seal cases or other, my jetski motors never leak and they see some serious heat and pressures.
