| im wondering myself i got a cr250 piston and curtis sparks told me u have to use a cr head and gasket and the piston will fit in a 86 bottom only with SOME KILLER PORTING AND POLSHING THAT SHOULD BE A FAST MOTOR AND LOTS OF COMPRESSION but has anyone done this and been succesful

| well the only difference between the 87 and 86 rods is the width at the joiint at the top, and the length of the rod... Do you mean the whole cylinder or do you just have to have the head? if you have to have the whole cylinder which years will fit on the 250r?

| the CR gasket is just thinner so you get more compression. you can just take a layer off or jsut run one layer of the trx gasket to do the same thing. |

| u can use the trx cylinder but u have to have the cr head becouse the cr piston is a flat head and it wont match the angle of the trx head i have 85 style cr wiesco piston sitting here at my shop
