| I know that all 250r jugs will interchange but I noticed that the intake ports are different from 85-86 and 87-89. Is one better than the other out of the box? Is 1 better to port than the other? |

| the intake isnt really where the majority power is found ,they are bot hgood the later moidels offer more support at the cost of less area ..i like the bridged exhaust on the later model TRX jugs ,thye are all bridged ,but the 85 86 is much more square and not how i like ideal shape for a 250 i think its better to have the velocity and for the pressure released higher i n the rpm range .
