Default 250R/300EX hybrid question?????

I just bought a 300ex with a trx250r motor in it. They have mounted the radiator, got it all lined up and firmly mounted in the frame. What type of air box can I use in combination with the 300ex frame? also....what is the differance between years in trx motors? And how do I know which year this motor is? I am not new to quads, but new to the R's. I know my 2 strokes, just nothing about R's. Shoot me a few suggestions as to what you would do to perfect this machine.

Thanks

As far as the airbox is concerned,i would search on ebay for different airboxes and pictures. and try to match one up as good as possible. .I seriously doubt you will find one that will bolt up,so your going to have to do some modifications. Why dont you try the stock 300ex airbox, and try to fab up a tube between the airbox and carb?
As far as the motor year,Look at the intake. The 86 motor doesnt have an intake bridge, but some of the other years do.
I would use the search function there are a TON of previous posts on the motor differences.

Post some pics of it,i would like to see it.
