It should work. I called ESR and asked the same question. They said that it should work as well.

Some one had a post about Electosports making a lighting stator for the CR250 that may work. I went to the Electrosport website. They do have a lighting stator for the CR250. It says it comes exactly like OE as an 8-pole unit on a baseplate with wiring, pulser, grommet and connectors ready to plug into the stock CR wiring harness. That would leave getting the flywheel, CDI and the adapter plate. Whether it will work I dont know. Here is the link: http://www.electrosport.com/dirt-bi...-dirt_22100.php I figure you would have to get a wiring harness from a CR250. It may be more trouble than its worth to try to get lights with a CR ignition setup. But if it works that would be the best of both worlds. Of course you probably wont have a light that will burn a whole in the darkness but I figure it will get you there and back. I think I will call Electrosports tommorrow and see what they have to say.

It's a missprint! I already called them a couple of months ago- it doesn't come with the back plate. I had the rep go open a box for me and check it out- then I raised cane about it saying that it does on the web site. I wanted to do the same thing that you want to do but you're going to have to buy the complete cr kit and a lighting stator. I went ahead and bought my ignition- I wanted to make sure that it's worth it before I buy the lighting stator- their around $150 for all the brands. I have an 01' ignition but I haven't tried it yet. 92'-01' will work excluding the year that had an electronic carb unless you want to buy the carb as well. They say that 01' is the best year but I talked with a guy that has hp shop and has done allot of these and he said they all put out about the same hp the 00' & 01' just have didital CDI's. He actually made mt adapter plate for me.

Figures, it sounded to good to be true to get the whole setup. When you called did they say for sure the lighting stator would work. Picking up a CR ignition wont be to bad. You can get it from ESR, find a junked bike, get it from ebay a peice at a time or here were we live there is a guy who has a motorcycle junk yard. If he is still in buisness. It would be nice to have the CR igniton and lights to.
