 best year cr 500 for trx? would like to know what cr 500 is the best year to swap into my 86 trx?

| I used an '86 for mine. The earlier ones have a 15mm hole in the rear of the cases, which is the same size as the swingarm shaft. I think in '87 or '88 they started making them with a 17mm hole, so it you would have to use a thin bushing with the later years. Other than that, the newer the better IMO. Have you checked out the CR500 in 250R thread in the 250R forum? There is alot of good info for anyone looking to do the swap.
