| You should be safe to run the race fuel at that compression...I always heard that 175lbs or better is ok for race gas.....I mix my oil at 40 to 1........... |

| the main reason i asked about the race fuel is when i bought my latest set up. 265 pv prox (nikasil) they told me the dome was for race gas only. i remember pulling it out b4 install to see what it was but just can't remeber what cc it was. so thats why i asked about the compression. i remember so one posting and saying anything 150psi and over needed race fuel but wanted to make sure. i always run race fuel just not normally that high of octane. |

| yeah i heard anything over 150 you cant well shouldnt run anything less then 100. so 93 or 94 pump wont cut it.

| I've always heard anything below 180psi is probably ok for premium pump gas, 180-200psi is probably ok for a 50/50 mixture of premium pump gas and race gas, and then anything over 200psi is race gas only. This isn't set in stone (notice the "probably's"), as there are many factors involved in determining what octane fuel to run. I personally run leaded Torco 110 with Amsoil Dominator 40:1 and an NGK BR8ES plug. I don't know if the iridium plugs are worth it (shrug). My setup runs great with the BR8ES. Like the saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." I don't know if it's different for Banshees, but if you're getting 150psi on an R motor, it's probably time for a rebuild.
